CorServ, a company that empowers banks and fintechs with credit card issuing programs, has partnered with The Bank of Glen Burnie, headquartered in Glen Burnie, Maryland, to launch a credit card issuing program for their commercial, business and consumer customers.

Committed to providing critical cash management solutions to their customers, The Bank of Glen Burnie surveyed local business and non-profit customers and found a high demand for credit card products. Customers wanted access to commercial cards, purchasing cards and fleet cards. These cards help with cash flow, offer virtual cards for payments to a business's vendors, and provide expense reporting and rewards benefits with the service level of a local bank relationship.

"At The Bank of Glen Burnie, personalized customer service and community engagement is at the heart of everything we do as we strive to deliver thoughtful, responsive, and safe financial solutions. After learning our customers wanted access to commercial cards, we embarked on a mission to find a program that would best serve them," said Jonathan Shearin, Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at The Bank of Glen Burnie. "CorServ's credit card program has key features like spend controls and virtual cards coupled with high-quality customer service. With CorServ's solution, we can better service our local customers and retain more control over our issuing program, unlike with an Agent Bank credit card program."

CorServ's credit card issuing platform offers commercial, business, and consumer credit cards with competitive interchange, annual percentage rates (APRs), and fees. With this partnership, The Bank of Glen Burnie's new revenue streams will be higher than with an Agent Bank program while also providing top-tier customer service.
